I received these in an email recently, and I have no idea about their origins. I assume that they are just part of someone's private collection...but it seemed like a good idea to share them with a wider audience. While I never attended Ohio State as a student (though I grew up planning to...), my dad and daughter both did, my stepmom was on the faculty for many years, I ushered at the football games a couple times in my teens and I'm still in the campus area every couple days. And, of course...living in Columbus...I'm a huge fan of the football and basketball teams...who finally have the class of coaches they deserve after long dry spells.

These are pictures of THE Ohio State University back in the 1940s. Among other things, there are some images of the Horseshoe under construction, some old OSU-Michigan tickets, several buildings around campus and one great shot from overhead. Enjoy!
